The Forestry
Division is responsible for the care and maintenance of publicly
owned park and street trees. The staff plants, prunes,
and removes street and park trees and enforces the City's Woodland
Protection ordinance.
The Forestry Division is busy year-round responding
to the needs of Novi's residents.
In 2005, the Forestry Division:
Planted over 1,300 street trees.
Removed approximately 1,500 hazardous trees in
parks and along streets.
Removed approximately 1,000 stumps.
