NOVI, Mich., July 25, 2008 - Follow the sound of the flute to
the Novi Theatres production of The Pied Piper of Hamelin as 24 cast
members from Novi, Farmington Hills and South Lyon, are hard at work
getting the production ready for a free preview at Lakeshore Park at
7:00pm on Sunday, August 10. Lakeshore Park is located at 601 S.
Lake Drive (Thirteen Mile and Old Novi Roads).
“Our young actors are very excited to bring live theatre to this
outdoor venue,” commented Novi Theatres Director Debbie Lannen.
“Families can bring a picnic and relax in a beautiful setting while
watching the preview of the show.”
The Pied Piper
of Hamelin is the classic tale of Hamelin, a town that has been
taken over by rats. Nobody knew what to do as the rats ate
everything in site and frightened the citizens. A mysterious
visitor, who called herself the Pied Piper, claimed she could get
rid of the rats in exchange for a fee. See for yourself if the town
paid the Piper.
The full-length production opens Thursday, August 14 at the Novi
Civic Center, 45175 W. Ten Mile Road, located in between Taft and
Novi Roads.
Tickets are available online or at the Novi Parks office in the
Novi Civic Center. Tickets are $8 each and all seats are general
admission. Special discounts are available for groups. For more
