Absentee ballots for November 4, 2008
election are available to qualified electors at the Office
of the City Clerk, 45175 W. Ten Mile Road. The deadline for
the City Clerk’s Office to receive applications for ballots
to be mailed is 2:00pm Saturday, November 1, 2008.
NOTE that the City Clerk’s office will be
open on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 9:00am - 1:00pm
and Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 8:00am - 2:00pm
for purpose of absentee voting.
Persons qualified to vote by absentee ballot
may obtain a ballot in person at the City Clerk’s Office
until 4:00pm Monday, November 3, 2008. Ballots obtained in
person on Monday, November 3, 2008 must be voted in the City
Clerk’s Office. |

Cornelius. After completely filling out an absent voter
ballot application, sign and date the application in the places
designated.
Your signature must appear on the application or you will not
receive an absent voter ballot.
Deliver the application by one of the following methods:
- Scan and email the application to the Novi City Clerk’s
office, fax the completed application to 248-347-0577 or place the
application in an envelope addressed to the appropriate clerk and
place the necessary postage upon the return envelope and deposit
it in the United States mail or with another public postal
service, express mail service, parcel post service, or common
carrier.
- Deliver the application personally to the office of the City
Clerk or to an authorized assistant of the Clerk.
- In either (1) or (2), a member of the immediate family of the
voter including a father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law,
sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, or
grandchild or a person residing in the voter's household may mail
or deliver the application to the office of the City Clerk for the
applicant.
- In the event an applicant cannot return the application in any
of the above methods, the applicant may select any registered
elector to return the application. The person returning the
application must sign and return a Certificate of Authorized
Registered Elector Returning Absentee Ballot Application on the
back of the Absentee ballot application
