Novi community. The California-based restaurant opened its doors
to the public on Tuesday, August 5th. California Pizza Kitchen

Performances August 14-16, 2008
The Pied Piper of Hamelin is the classic tale of Hamelin,
a town that has been taken over by rats. Nobody knew what
to do as the rats ate everything in site and frightened the
citizens. A mysterious visitor, who called herself the
Pied Piper, claimed she could get rid of the rats in exchange
for a fee. See for yourself if the town paid the Piper.

List
Since Novi crossed the 50,000 population mark with our special
census, we now enter new rankings and categories of different
sorts. One such ranking is the Money magazine `Best Places
to Live.” In the top 100 places (defined as being from
among the 716 cities with populations between 50,000 and
300,000) across the United States, the Money magazine ranking
puts us #48.

Home Repair Program
The City of Novi Minor Home Repair program seeks candidates for
its upcoming service year. The program helps qualified
low-income homeowners in the city make needed repairs and
improvements to their residences. The program tackles priority
improvement projects including furnace repair; water heater,
toilet, or garbage disposal replacement; fixing porches, wiring,
leaky roofs; and removal of dangerous trees.

Safety Fact Sheets
The Traffic Improvement Association (TIA) has made available
fact sheets to aid in understanding various traffic safety
issues. TIA is a non-profit traffic safety organization in
Oakland County, Michigan. TIA was organized in 1967 by
community leaders to address adverse traffic safety issues
facing Oakland County.

 West Nile Virus
This spring, Department of Public Works staff continued the
City of Novi’s fight against West Nile Virus by dropping
charcoal-sized larvicide pellets through the grates of the
City’s storm drains. The treatment slowly releases an agent for
up to 150 days that kills mosquito larvae. This same treatment
will be repeated this summer...
